A number of people who work on board oil rigs are in support roles such as catering crew and doctors etc. The following is an outline of what can be expected for doctors or physicians. Due to the physical size of the rigs, many of these types of roles are unique in charge and one must be able to do with the facilities and resources at the end. In the case of doctors or doctors based aboard oil platforms, it may be necessary to treat patients suffering from a wide variety of illnesses and diseases.
